Who are the Junior Friends?

A student library service organization for tweens and teens ages 11 - 18 under the supervision of the Program and Outreach Manager.

What is the purpose?

To promote the library and assist with carrying out its mission through various volunteer opportunities. 

What are the requirements?

  • Be between the ages of 11 - 18.

  • Be respectful of all library rules and materials.

  • Be dependable and punctual. 

  • Promote the library in a positive manner.

What are the benefits of being a Junior Friend?

  • Attend Junior Friends only events such as parties, dinners, movie nights, and more.

  • Volunteer hours can be counted as community service for National Honor Society, scouting, scholarships, and more.

  • Can be listed as an extracirricular on resumes and applications.

  • Improves leadership skills and can earn a recommendation letter for college applications.
