Magazines are now available with WVDELI! Patrons can now access over 3,000 popular magazines through the Libby app. All magazines are available for unlimited access with no holds or account limits. RBdigital magazine users will still be able to enjoy their favorite titles on Overdrive and Libby as well as have access to the RBdigital app until March 31, 2021. RBdigital users can also find further information including FAQs on the Overdrive transition page. - Will there be a lending period for magazines?
Yes. You will be able to borrow each magazine for up to 21 days. - Can I renew magazines?
Yes. You will have the option to renew a magazine within 3 days of the end of the lending period. Since magazines are offered under simultaneous use, you can also borrow the magazine again at any time. - Will magazines count against my checkout limits?
No. Magazines will not count toward checkout limits. - Will I be able to view magazines on the Overdrive app?
Yes. You will be able to enjoy magazines on the Overdrive app and web portal. However, due to Libby's special article and thumbnail view for magazine titles, we encourage users to view magazines through the Libby app instead. - Will OverDrive have a magazine reader similar to the one available on the RBdigital platform?
To create a streamlined and consistent user experience, all magazines will be available in Libby and Overdrive’s native reader. Libby will offer a special article and thumbnail view for magazine titles. For this reason, we encourage readers to view magazines through the Libby app. At launch, Overdrive and Libby will not have text to speech functionality for magazines, though they are considering this feature for future development. - Will there be an option for users to automatically borrow new issues of a magazine?
No. Overdrive and Libby does not currently have plans to support auto-checkout of magazine titles. - Will I have a way to access magazine issues they previously borrowed via RBdigital?
Yes. Anyone who previously borrowed ZINIO magazines from RBdigital will be able to access their historical magazine loans by either downloading the free ZINIO app or going to zinio.com. From the ZINIO app or website, you can register a new ZINIO account using the same email address you used to access RBdigital. Once registered, your previously borrowed ZINIO magazine loans will be available in your account.
